Taking on Environmental Agents
Scientists at the University of Rochester Medical Center who are exploring the health effects of environmental agents have received $8 million in new funding from the National Institutes of Health. The latest funding means that by 2015 the Environmental Health Sciences Center's work will have been continuously funded by the NIH for 40 years. Tom Gasiewicz, Ph.D. (PhD '77), director of the center and chair of the Department of Environmental Medicine, discusses the center's work.
