Grateful cancer survivor endows professorship

Rochester area businessman Richard T. Bell celebrated the successful treatment of his cancer with a gift of $1.5 million that will be used to establish the Richard T. Bell Endowed Professorship in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the James P. Wilmot Cancer Center. More »

As recently as the 1960s, bacterial meningitis infected thousands of children each year in the United States. Five percent of infected children die and 30 percent of the survivors are left with a long-term disability, including mental retardation, acquired deafness and learning disabilities. More »
