Volunteer to Help Children, Get Free Admission to Amerks' Game
September 20, 2001
Children's Hospital at Strong will benefit from the Rochester Americans' Million-Dollar Toss this hockey season.
The hospital will raise funds by selling flying discs for $1 apiece during each Amerks' home game between November and April. To make this happen, Children's Hospital at Strong is seeking volunteers to sell the discs during games at Blue Cross Arena. Volunteers receive free admission to the Amerks' game, as well as a free T-shirt. At least 20 volunteers are needed for each game.
Children's Hospital at Strong, 601 Elmwood Ave., Rochester, is this region's only children's hospital. It offers a 52-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, a 12-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, a state-of-the-art emergency department, and a highly skilled staff, which is specially trained to care for children and their families.
