Pandya Named Interim Director of Clinical Trials Office at James P. Wilmot Cancer Center

Kishan J. Pandya M.D., was named Interim Director of the Clinical Trials Office at the James P. Wilmot Cancer Center at the University of Rochester Medical Center. He will oversee all aspects of the Clinical Trials Office and help position the center as the leader in innovative translational activities.
He has a long record of initiation and participation in pivotal trials, and recently completed several pivotal trials in breast cancer and lung cancer, which he plans to continue.
Pandya earned a degree in medicine from Maharaja Sayajirao University in Baroda, India, and completed internship and residency at Yale University School of Medicine at Norwalk Hospital in Norwalk, Conn. He went on to do a Fellowship in medical oncology and hematology at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wis.
He joined the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry in 1979 as Head of Hematology-Oncology at St. Mary's Hospital. He is Associate Director for Clinical Operations for the Hematology/Oncology Unit since 1998 and Professor of Medicine and Oncology.
