Children's Hospital at Strong Celebrates Miracle Weekend
As many as 1,000 people are expected to 'Stroll for Strong Kids'
June 02, 2000
Saturday's Stroll for Strong Kids is expected to attract upwards of 1,000 people who will walk, run, and rollerblade to support Children's Hospital at Strong.
The Stroll - a two-mile walk through Genesee Valley Park - will begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 3. When finished with their "Stroll", walkers will be treated to a free lunch provided by Outback Steakhouse. There will be music and activities for the kids.
Participants are asked to raise money through sponsorship pledges from family members, friends and co-workers. Last year, some 750 people took part, raising more than $60,000 for Children's Hospital at Strong.
Note: Parking will be available at the Roundhouse Pavilion, located at the north end of the park, closest to the Elmwood Avenue entrance. We hope to see you there!
