Centola Named President of Male Fertility-Urology Society

Grace M. Centola, Ph.D., associate professor of obstetrics/gynecology and urology at the University of Rochester Medical Center and director of Rochester Regional Cryobank and Andrology Laboratory, has been named president of the Society for Male Reproduction and Fertility (SMRU), an affiliate of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM).
Centola assumed the presidency at the 300-member society's annual meeting in September in Toronto, Ontario. She previously served a year as the organization's vice president and president-elect.
In her one-year term as president, Centola will serve on the board of directors of 9,000-member ASRM. She will also plan annual meetings for SMRU and ASRM to be held in October 2000 in San Diego.
Centola serves on the board of the ASRM journal Fertility and Sterility, and chaired the SMRU 1999 Abstract Review Committee. She participates in the Development and Sessions Management committees for ASRM and is an at-large member of the ASRM Women's Council.
