Jerry Pfundtner Sr. Memorial Golf Tournament scheduled
Proceeds will benefit Children's Hospital at Strong
September 02, 1999
The first Jerry Pfundtner Sr. Memorial Golf Tournament will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 20, 1999, at Eagle Vale Country Club, 4344 Nine Mile Point Road, Perinton.
The tournament will be held in memory of Jerry Pfundtner Sr., who, last August at the age of 57, lost his battle against cancer. He was an executive at Xerox Corp. for more than 35 years.
When Mr. Pfundtner was undergoing cancer treatment, he resolved to donate his time to help children who were suffering from cancer. After Mr. Pfundtner died, his family took up the cause. This golf tournament is one way family members are trying to fulfill Mr. Pfundtner's mission of helping children who are faced with cancer treatment.
Registration and lunch will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. on the day of the event. A shotgun start will follow at 1 p.m. Proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Hematology/Oncology division at Children's Hospital at Strong.
To register or learn more, call Patricia Pfundtner at (716) 381-5737.
