Dr. Yaron Sternbach Joins Department of Surgery at the University of Rochester Medical Center

Yaron Sternbach, M.D., has been appointed assistant professor in the Department of Surgery, Division of Vascular Surgery at the University of Rochester Medical Center/Strong Memorial Hospital.
Sternbach comes to Rochester from Johns Hopkins University, where he recently completed his fellowship in vascular surgery. He has additional expertise in minimally invasive endovascular surgery and a special interest in thoracoabdominal aneurysms and complex aortic reconstruction. His research efforts will focus on clinical outcomes in vascular disease and new devices for endovascular intervention.
A diplomate of the American Board of Surgery, Sternbach received his medical degree from McGill University in Montreal, Canada. He completed an internship and a residency in general surgery at the Tufts-New England Medical Center in Boston. During his residency, he also completed a microsurgery research fellowship at the Lahey Clinic. Sternbach obtained fellowship training in endovascular therapy at Southern Illinois University. He has authored and co-authored numerous studies in the field of vascular surgery.
