Dr. Jeffrey W. Campbell Joins Department of Neurological Surgery at the University of Rochester Medical Center

Jeffrey W. Campbell, M.D., has been appointed assistant professor and chief, Division of Pediatric Neurosurgery in the Department of Neurological Surgery at the University of Rochester Medical Center. Campbell also holds appointments within the Departments of Pediatrics and Neurology.
Campbell, the first fellowship-trained pediatric neurosurgeon to join the University, will specialize in the neurosurgical treatment of children. His research interests include mediated immunotherapy in the treatment of central nervous system tumors and clinical treatment of movement disorders in children.
Campbell earned his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He completed an internship in general surgery and a residency in neurosurgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Campbell also completed the Shillito Pediatric Neurosurgery Fellowship at The Children's Hospital in Boston.
In addition to maintaining an active patient care practice, Campbell has been named to a National Institutes of Health fellowship on experimental therapeutics, and has been awarded a fellowship in pediatric epilepsy surgery at the Strong Epilepsy Center.
