Dr. Robert S. Bakos Joins Department of Neurological Surgery At the University of Rochester Medical Center

Robert S. Bakos, M.D., has been appointed associate professor and chief, Division of Neurosurgical Pain Management in the Department of Neurological Surgery at Strong Memorial Hospital of the University of Rochester Medical Center.
Bakos, who has operated a busy general neurosurgical practice in Rochester since 1977, will specialize in the neurosurgical management of pain, collaborating closely with the University of Rochester's Pain Treatment Clinic. In addition to his appointment at the University and at Strong Hospital, Bakos will continue to operate his community practice, and continue to see patients at The Genesee Hospital and Highland Hospital.
Bakos is certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgeons. He received his medical degree from St. Louis University. He completed an internship and residencies in general surgery and neurosurgery at Strong Memorial Hospital.
