Two Ithaca Physicians Join Strong Health
July 28, 1999
Strong Health welcomes Ithaca internists Linda Radomski, M.D., and Serena Yoon, M.D., to its health care system.
Radomski affiliated with Strong Health on May 1, and Yoon followed on June 1. Both have been appointed to the faculty of the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. They continue to serve current patients and are accepting new patients at their North Cayuga Street office in Ithaca, although they plan to move their office to a nearby location in the late fall.
"We are pleased to welcome both of these fine internists to Strong Health," said Leo Brideau, president and CEO of Strong Partners Health System, Inc. "The relationship will benefit patients in the Ithaca region by providing them with the additional services of our health care system."
"This new affiliation will make many new resources available to our practice and our patients," Radomski said. "When referrals outside of our community are needed, the expertise of these respected specialists and the facilities of Strong Memorial will be available. Our practice, of course, will remain in the Ithaca area. We will continue to utilize our excellent local medical facilities and specialists for most patient care needs, and will continue to admit patients to Cayuga Medical Center at Ithaca."
Radomski received her medical degree in 1979 from the University of Miami. She completed a residency at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, as well as a year of fellowship in clinical pharmacology and general medicine. She is board certified in Internal Medicine.
A physician of 20 years, Radomski has been in private practice since 1994. Previously, she was an attending physician at Gannett Health Center, Cornell University. She was in practice in Aurora, NY, for two years, and served as medical director of Ithaca's Alpha House Outreach from 1995-96.
In addition to her private practice and University of Rochester faculty position, Radomski serves as medical director of Lakeside Nursing Home and is a member of the Department of Medicine at Cayuga Medical Center, both in Ithaca.
Yoon received her medical degree (magna cum laude) from SUNY Downstate Medical Center in 1989. She completed a residency at Northwestern University's McGaw Medical Center in Chicago in 1993 and became board certified in 1994. She is a graduate of Harvard University and has had an extensive research background in addition to her clinical experience. She has been in private practice in Chicago and on the faculty at Northwestern University School of Medicine.
Most recently, Yoon has been on the staff at Gannett Health Center, Cornell University, and at Family Health Network in Ithaca. She is also a member of the Department of Medicine at Cayuga Medical Center.
