Dr. Cargill H. Alleyne, Jr., Joins Department of Neurological Surgery at the University of Rochester Medical Center

Cargill H. Alleyne, Jr., M.D., has been appointed assistant professor and chief, Division of Stroke and Cerebrovascular Neurosurgery in the Department of Neurological Surgery at Strong Memorial Hospital of the University of Rochester Medical Center. Alleyne also holds appointments within the Departments of Radiology and Neurology.
He comes to the Medical Center following completion of a fellowship in cerebrovascular/skull base surgery at Barrow Neurological Institute in Arizona. Alleyne, who has a special interest in stroke management, will specialize in cerebrovascular and endovascular neurosurgery at the University of Rochester. He will also work closely with the Medical Center's Radiology Department to develop advanced techniques in interventional neuroradiology.
Alleyne received his medical degree from Yale University School of Medicine. He completed an internship in general surgery and a residency in neurological surgery at Emory University Affiliated Hospitals.
