William W. Richardson Named to University of Rochester Medical Center Board

William W. Richardson, a retail executive for the Rochester region of Chase Manhattan Bank, has been named to the University of Rochester Medical Center Board.
The principal governing body of the Medical Center and its component parts -- Strong Memorial Hospital, Children’s Hospital at Strong, the School of Medicine and Dentistry, the School of Nursing, Eastman Dental Center, and the University of Rochester Medical Faculty Group -- the URMC Board establishes hospital policy and guides institutional management and planning.
A graduate of Iowa Wesleyan College and the American Bankers Association’s Commercial Lending School, Richardson joined Lincoln First Bank in 1977 and was named to his current position in 1994. He is a Vietnam veteran, having served as a first lieutenant in the U.S. Army.
Richardson is active in numerous arts, civic, and community development organizations throughout Rochester. He currently serves on the board of directors for the United Way of Rochester and the Mediation Center of Rochester, and he is a trustee of both the George Eastman House and the Eastman Dental Center Foundation.
