UR offers science lecture for high school students

High school students are invited to a free science lecture at the University of Rochester Medical Center.
"Molecules, Cells and Cancer" will be presented by Harold Smith, Ph.D., of the URMC Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday, March 13, in Room 2-6408 (K-207 auditorium).
The event is one of several seminars scheduled as part of the Saturday Morning Science Series program, coordinated by the URMC Environmental Health Sciences Center. On May 1, Taft Toribara, Ph.D., Department of Environmental Medicine, will present "Hair: A Keeper of History."
Students interested in registering for either of the free seminars may call Dina Markowitz, Ph.D., director of community outreach and education programs for the Environmental Health Sciences Center, at 275-3171. Refreshments will be provided.
