Bates joins Strong Health practice in Corning
January 25, 1999
Nurse practitioner Jodi L. Bates, M.S., F.N.P., has joined the Corning practice of internist Jana Pulkrabek, M.D.
The practice, located at 28 E. First St., affiliated with Strong Health in December.
Bates had worked for several years with Pulkrabek at Just for Women in Corning.
"Joining the practice allows me to provide primary care for both men and women, and will permit Dr. Pulkrabek to again accept new patients," Bates said.
The affiliation with Strong Health expands the practice’s referral base and provides access to health care options currently unavailable in Corning, she added.
Leo Brideau, Vice President of Strong Health and President and CEO of Strong Partners Health System Inc., said the addition of Bates to Pulkrabek’s staff further strengthens Strong Health’s commitment to quality health care in the Corning region.
A native of Elmira, Bates received her nursing degree in 1981 from Keuka College, and received her master’s degree in science in 1994 from Syracuse University. She is licensed as a registered professional nurse, an adult nurse practitioner and a family nurse practitioner.
Prior to her work at Just for Women, Bates was employed by Steuben Medical Associates.
Bates is a member of the Association of Women’s Health Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses, the New York State Nurses Association, the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the Chemung Valley Nurse Practitioner Association.
Strong Health is an integrated health care system consisting of Strong Memorial Hospital, Children's Hospital at Strong, Highland Hospital, the Meadows at Westfall, The Highlands at Pittsford and Eastman Dental Center.
