Street Joins Strong Health

, of Sawmill Drive in Penfield, recently joined Strong Health as director of Care Management. Street formerly served for two years as director of Medical Management for the Rochester Community Individual Practice Association (RCIPA).
As director, Street will develop and implement creative strategies to help Strong Health manage global risk contracts. She reports to Sally Leiter, Strong Health vice president for Home Care and Care Management and president of Visiting Nurse Service. Street is widely respected in the physician community for her expertise in managed care, medical management and quality improvement.
"I’m very excited to accept this position with Strong Health. As a provider, Strong Health has the leverage and knowledge to improve patient care while lowering health care costs," Street said. "We’ll work with a number of long-term and short-term strategies to accomplish this. To be successful in the long run, hospitals and physicians will work through the Managed Care Organization to dramatically change the way we deliver care."
Street holds a bachelor’s degree from SUNY Buffalo and a Master of Science Degree in Community Health from the University of Cincinnati. Prior to working at RCIPA, she held administrative positions at Upstate Health System, St. Mary’s Hospital, and The Genesee Hospital. She is certified as a professional in Health Care Quality by the National Association of Health Care Quality and is a member of the Greater Rochester Quality Council. In addition, she has participated in the prestigious Institute for Health Care Improvement’s breakthrough series to lower the incidence of cesarean sections and better manage low back pain.
