Fundraising Auction Scores Big for Ill Children at Children's Hospital at Strong

On Monday, November 9, 1998, a Sports Memorabilia Auction and Dinner was held at the Hyatt to benefit Children’s Hospital at Strong. $10,000 was raised at the event, items for sale at the auction included: boxes of autographed Flutie Flakes and other Buffalo Bills memorabilia. Children’s Hospital at Strong Board Member Ronald Maggio organized the event. As co-chair of the Family Support Committee, Ron and his fellow committee members are raising funds for projects that may improve the quality of a family’s stay at the hospital when a child is hospitalized for a serious illness or injury.
Critical support from promotions such as this, provide much needed funds that enable Children’s Hospital at Strong and the Strong Center for Developmental Disabilities to treat young patients with virtually every diagnosis – including the most complex and life-threatening.
