Children's Hospital at Strong Patients Get Treated to Halloween Fun

October 28, 1998

WHAT: Annual Children’s Hospital at Strong Halloween ‘Trick or Treating’ for patients who are currently being treated at the hospital.

WHY: For over 10 years, Children’s Hospital staff and faculty have been providing their pediatric inpatients with an opportunity to participate in this Halloween celebration. Tremendous effort goes into providing an event that is as authentic as possible, complete with costumes and treats for everyone. Patients visit each department of the hospital, as well as physician offices and receive candy, stickers and pencils. "Celebrating Halloween together really links staff and patients. The kids get to enjoy the occasion and staff have an opportunity to share a joyful experience with the patients for whom they care," says Wendy Lane, Child Life Program Coordinator for Children’s Hospital at Strong.

WHEN: Friday, October 30, 1998 from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

WHERE: Pediatrics floor (4th) at Children’s Hospital at Strong within Strong Memorial Hospital).
