Eleventh Annual Auction Gala to Benefit Children's Hospital at Strong

WHAT: The 11th annual Children’s Hospital at Strong Auction Gala
The event will include a silent auction, dinner, and a live auction, followed by a jazz performance. Last year’s event raised $175,625 for Children’s Hospital and had 400 people in attendance. Highlights of the items for bid at this year’s live auction include: a new Volkswagen Beetle from The Dorshel Automotive Group, a chance to bathe "Lilac" and "Genny C." - elephants with the Seneca Park Zoo, NASCAR memorabilia, a rare beanie baby, and much more.
WHEN: Saturday, October 3, 1998 at 6:00 p.m.
WHERE: Rochester Riverside Convention Center, 123 East Main Street.
WHY: Proceeds from the event will benefit Children’s Hospital at Strong -- to provide support for the care of gravely and chronically ill children in our community and enable vital community outreach programs and cutting-edge research to continue.
Children’s Hospital at Strong is a 112-bed facility within the University of Rochester Medical Center and is the primary medical center for ill children and adolescents in the region. Patients with virtually every diagnosis are treated at Children’s Hospital – from the pediatric neonatal intensive care unit to the new Strong Children’s Heart Center.
