1998 Parkinson's Disease Symposium

The University of Rochester Medical Center's Neurology/Movement Disorders Unit, a designated National Parkinson Foundation Center of Excellence, together with the Parkinson's Support Group of Upstate New York, Inc., will host a Parkinson's Disease Symposium on September 19.
The event, which is free and open to the public, will feature both local and national experts in Parkinson's disease. These experts will discuss current treatments, research efforts, experimental medications, surgical approaches,and methods of coping with the disease. Vendor booths will be on display from 11 a.m. through 4 p.m. the day of the symposium.
The symposium is sponsored in part by educational grants from Medtronic Neurological, Roche Laboratories, Pharmacia & Upjohn, Athena Neurosciences, DuPont Pharma, SmithKline Beecham Pharmaceuticals, Inc., and Jeffrey Freedman, Attorneys-at-Law.
