Five Physicians To Open New Practices in Monroe County

Five physicians specializing in general internal medicine will open new offices in locations throughout Monroe County this summer and fall. All are affiliated with Strong Memorial Hospital and the Strong Partners Health System.
These internists accept most major insurance coverage including StrongCare, Blue Choice, Preferred Care, and Medicare.
All of these physicians are accepting new patients; initial appointments may be made with any of them by calling Strong Memorial Hospital's Physician Referral Service at (716) 275-2838. The physicians and their locations follow.
Joseph Gomez, M.D. and Wallace Johnson, M.D. will practice at 800 Ayrault Road in Fairport.
Dr. Gomez, who earned his medical degree at Georgetown University, completed an internship and residency at Strong Memorial Hospital, serving his final year as chief resident in internal medicine.
Dr. Johnson, who earned his medical degree summa cum laude at the State University of New York at Buffalo, completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Strong Memorial Hospital; he served as chief resident in internal medicine and as an instructor and fellow in medicine.
Jonathan Hager, M.D. will practice at 1672 Empire Blvd. in Penfield.
Dr. Hager, who earned his medical degree at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, served an internship and residency in internal medicine at Strong Memorial Hospital.
Egan Allen, M.D. will practice at 2180 South Clinton Ave. in Brighton.
Dr. Allen, who earned his medical degree at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, completed a residency at St. Mary's Hospital Primary Care Residency Program (which is affiliated with the University of Rochester), serving his final year as chief resident in medicine.
Jane Kjoller, M.D. will practice at 1860 Buffalo Road in Gates.
Dr. Kjoller, who earned her medical degree at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, served her internship and residency in internal medicine at Strong Memorial Hospital. She also completed a fellowship in pulmonary medicine at Yale University School of Medicine.
