University of Rochester Professor Selected to Serve on NIH Study Section

Arthur J. Moss, M.D., professor of medicine, has been selected to serve as a member of the Epidemiology and Disease Control Study Section 1 of the Division of Research Grants, effective immediately and ending in June 2000.
Members are selected on the basis of their demonstrated competence and achievement in their scientific discipline as evidenced by the quality of research accomplishments, publications in scientific journals, achievements, and honors.
As a member of this study section, Dr. Moss will join other committee representatives in reviewing grant applications submitted to the National Institutes of Health (NIH), make recommendations on these applications to the appropriate NIH national advisory council or board, and survey the status of research in their fields of science.
A member of the Rochester faculty since 1961, Dr. Moss received his undergraduate degree from Yale University and his medical degree from Harvard Medical School. His specialty is cardiology.
