Dr. Harry C. Sax Elected President of Rochester Surgical Society

Harry C. Sax, M.D., associate professor of surgery at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry and a general surgeon at Strong Memorial Hospital, has been elected president of the Rochester Surgical Society. He'll serve a two-year term leading the 65-member Society's educational, political, and fraternal endeavors.
The Society's members include virtually all of the Rochester area's general surgeons and many vascular surgeons.
A graduate of Johns Hopkins Medical School, Dr. Sax joined the University of Rochester surgical faculty in 1989 after serving a residency in general surgery and a fellowship in nutritional support at the University of Cincinnati. He is a member of the issues committee of the Association for Academic Surgery and serves on the board of the Rochester Individual Practice Association.
