Girls Only: Get Dolled Up, Help Golisano Children’s Hospital at Strong
March 30, 2006
Take that old adage, “pain is beauty,” and trash it. If you and your little diva are looking for a pretty good time next month, your search is over; girls of all ages — from pigtails to beehive — will have a blast primping at Golisano Children’s Hospital at Strong’s Second Annual Girls Day Out.
The beauty benefit, to be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, May 7, in the University of Rochester Medical Center’s Flaum Atrium, just might leave you and your little girl (or niece, granddaughter, friend’s kid) feeling like royalty. Between Shear Ego Salon’s mini-makeovers for the younger girls and relaxing chair massages for the, well, more “mature” girls, both of you will be looking and feeling your best. To celebrate, Excess Studios will capture the moment with free portraiture.
The afternoon will be rounded out with a GAP fashion show, music courtesy of a DJ and the Dinner Dogs, entertainment by the Grease Paint Alley Clowns, and raffles with attractive prizes.
To look like a million bucks and enjoy some good girl-time, call for reservations by April 28 (ask for Betsy Findlay at (585) 273-5933 or Karen Eisenberg at (585) 273-1462). Admission is $20 for adults and $10 for girls 18 years and younger, and all proceeds will benefit Golisano Children’s Hospital at Strong.
