Conference on Mental Health of Girls and Women Set for Oct. 27

Menopause, bereavement and mental health in children and adolescents are among the topics of a conference Friday Oct. 27 sponsored by the University of Rochester Medical Center Department of Psychiatry, Strong Behavioral Women’s Health and The Psychotherapy Institute.
The conference – “Mental Health and Wellness for Girls and Women: Treatment and Management Across the Lifespan” – qualifies for continuing education credits.
Workshop topics include approaches to depression following abortion, miscarriage and infertility, intimate partner violence in the home, providing psychosocial care to low-income women and food and weight challenges facing adolescent girls.
