Join patients and staff members from the Program in Heart Failure and Transplantation for the second annual “And the Beat Goes On” fund-raiser on May 18.
There will be a buffet-style chicken barbecue; dancing; raffles and door prizes; and great live bands, including Me & the Boyz and Second Chance. Second Chance drummer Tom Arcara of Spencerport is a transplant patient who received a new heart in 2005.
Proceeds will be used for the Patient Care fund, which provides emergency funding for necessities some patients have difficulty affording, and for future development of a hospitality house that will assist with the needs of adult critical care patients and their families.
The event begins at 6 p.m. Friday, May 18, at the Burgundy Basin Inn in Pittsford. Tickets are $25 per person. Call (585) 349-0686, or the Friends of Strong at (585) 275-2420 for information.
