Girls to Gussy up at Golisano Children’s Hospital Fundraiser
April 09, 2007
Girls of all ages – young and young at heart – will enjoy princess-worthy pampering at the 3rd annual Girls Day Out, a beauty benefit for Golisano Children’s Hospital.
This year’s event, held 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, May 6, in the Lilac Room at the Rochester Riverside Convention Center, promises young girls some star treatment – mini-manicures, make-up application and hair fashions courtesy of Shear Ego. Moms can expect some spoiling, too, including Trish McEvoy makeovers provided by l’avant garbe and massages by Onondaga School of Therapeutic Massage. Excess Studios will capture the moment with free portraiture.
The afternoon also features music by Showtime Entertainment, pottery painting by Color Me Mine, balloons and face painting by The Grease Paint Alley Clowns and a “princess bounce house” from Kidzplay. Desserts, coffee and juice round out the day, along with a fashion show by The Gap and a chance to win some enviable raffle prizes.
Tickets are $15 for adults and $20 for girls 18 years old and younger; all proceeds benefit Golisano Children’s Hospital at Strong. Reservations are required by April 27 and may be made by calling Betsy Findlay at (585) 273-5933 or Karen Eisenberg at (585) 273-1462.
