Sept. 2 Golf Tourney Honors Memory of Former Gates Police Officer

Funds Raised Support Wilmot Cancer Center BMT Unit

Golfers will honor the memory of Gates police officer James Marasco during a tournament Sunday, Sept. 2, at Brockport Country Club. The scramble will raise funds for the James P. Wilmot Cancer Center’s blood and marrow transplant unit, where he was treated.

Marasco was a quick-witted, well-liked police offer who enjoyed golf and time with his family and friends.

The tournament begins at 1:30 p.m. The cost is $70 to participate, and includes lunch dinner and prizes for outstanding play. The cost of dinner only is $25.
