December 31, 2007
The Ice Cream Bowl offers a sweet, sticky competition for supporters of the Wilmot Cancer Center.
If you’ve ever wanted to test the “brain freeze,” sign up to compete in the fourth annual Ice Cream Bowl to support the James P. Wilmot Cancer Center. The ice-cream eating contest will be Sunday, Jan. 27, at Eastview Mall’s BonTon Court.
Individuals and teams of families, friends and coworkers will compete for great prizes beginning at 2:30 p.m. The individual who raises the most “moo-lah” will receive an ice cream party for 100 people. The delicious and sticky competition for children will be divided into grades K-5 and 6-12, and there will be an adults-only contest. There will be prizes for the top three ice-cream eaters in each category.
The event is sponsored by Maggie Moo’s Ice Cream and Treatery, Rochester Amerks and Knighthawks, and WARM 101.3 FM.
Registration and sponsorship forms are available at libraries in Fairport, Gates, Greece, Henrietta, Mendon, Parma, Penfield, Pittsford, Victor and Webster, as well as Maggie Moo’s, Camille’s Sidewalk Cafes and the Wilmot Cancer Center. Or download forms at www.wilmotcancercenter.com.
If you’re among the first 25 to pre-register and bring your completed sponsorship form to Maggie Moo’s between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 5, you will receive free ice cream.
