Free Physicals Offered for Rochester City School District Students
February 21, 2008
University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry students, faculty and residents will conduct physicals for Rochester City School District students Wednesday Feb. 27.
The physicals, which are free of charge, will be given from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the School of Medicine and Dentistry, 415 Elmwood Avenue. Parking at the School of Medicine and Dentistry lot also is free. No appointments are necessary. This is the only day and time the physicals will be offered.
Students routinely need a physical for school, sports activities or work permits. Students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian or have a signed parental consent form.
Physicals are provided courtesy of the Center for Advocacy, Community Health, Education and Diversity at the University of Rochester Medical Center. The School of Medicine and Dentistry has provided free physicals to almost 1,000 city students in the last five years.
