Children's Hospital's Miracle Weekend Just Around the Corner
April 23, 2008
It has been said that miracles happen every day, and thanks to Golisano Children's Hospital at Strong, that can be taken literally. The children's hospital's Miracle Weekend--which consists of the Stroll for Strong Kids and the annual 10NBC Children's Miracle Network Telethon--is set for Saturday, May 31, and Sunday, June 1, and promises memorable family fun while honoring some of the children's hospital's bravest patients.
12th annual Stroll for Strong Kids
More than 2,500 people are expected to venture out for the 12th annual Stroll for Strong Kids, hoping to raise $225,000 for Golisano Children's Hospital at Strong. Beginning at 9 a.m., Saturday, May 31, the morning festivities include clowns, costumed characters, inflatable play sets and kid's crafts. Later on, it's time to lace up your sneakers for a 2-mile fundraising walk through Genesee Valley Park. Afterwards, a free picnic lunch features Subway sandwiches, and the little ones can enjoy the musical stylings of Gary the Happy Pirate. There is still time to sign up, but don't delay; to register yourself or a group of friends to walk, or to make an online donation in support of a team, visit

25th annual Children's Miracle Network Telethon on 10NBC Golisano Children's Hospital has once again teamed up with 10NBC for the 25th Children's Miracle Network Telethon, set to broadcast live from the lobby of Strong Memorial Hospital, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., and 7 to 11 p.m., Sunday, June 1. The telethon serves as a chance for past and current children’s hospital patients--including our six Miracle Kids--and their families to share their success stories from Golisano Children's Hospital. To make a pledge during the event, please call (585) 241-KIDS, or log on to
