Wellsville Cardiology Practice Expands to Enhance Services

The University of Rochester Medical Center’s Wellsville Cardiology practice is pleased to announce its relocation to 84B N. Main St. in Wellsville in an effort to further improve cardiovascular service to residents of the Southern Tier region.
Relocating from its former office just down Main Street, the practice has expanded its space and continues to provide comprehensive cardiac care. Cardiologists are in the office two days per week and staff members are available Monday through Thursday.
“We are pleased to be able to enhance the outstanding care we have been providing patients in the area for more than seven years,” said cardiologist Imran M. Chaudhary, M.D. “Our new space means a quieter, more spacious facility that is dedicated solely to patients’ cardiovascular health.
Cardiologist Barbara J. Kircher, M.D., said “This move provides an opportunity for us to enhance patient flow and to expand our practice to accommodate more patients.
Wellsville Cardiology offers a wide range of cardiac services, including consultations, stress testing, and echocardiography in the treatment of coronary artery disease, heart failure, refractory high blood pressure and pulmonary hypertension.
The Wellsville cardiologists work closely with Jones Memorial Hospital to treat patients locally when possible. For patients requiring services that are not available at Jones Memorial Hospital, Wellsville cardiologists will help streamline admission to the University of Rochester Medical Center.
The cardiologists in Wellsville work closely with their colleagues at the University of Rochester Medical Center to manage any care their patients receive in Rochester. This may include testing heart rhythms; implanting or checking pacemakers & defibrillators; procedures to diagnose and treat coronary artery disease including cardiac catheterization, angioplasty and stent placement. The cardiovascular surgery program is well renowned, performing coronary artery bypass surgery, repair of complex cardiac or vascular disease, as well as screening and surgery for peripheral and cerebral vascular disease.
