Twin NICU Grads Star on the Big Screen
Aliens in the Attic World Premiere Benefits Golisano Children’s Hospital
July 31, 2009
This weekend is the world premiere of "Aliens in the Attic," a new action-comedy-adventure film about a group of kids in charge of protecting their vacation home from aliens. The film features such well-known actors as Ashley Tisdale, Kevin Nealon, Doris Roberts and Andy Richter, and two new faces – Pittsford-residents Regan and Henri Young.
The twins, who play Lee and Art, would not be the happy, healthy 14-year-olds they are today if it weren’t for Golisano Children’s Hospital’s neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) at the University of Rochester Medical Center, insists Jennifer Young, the twins’ mother. The two were born eight weeks premature at 3 pounds, 15 ounces and 4 pounds, 1 ounce.
“Regan and Henri were in Golisano Children’s Hospital’s NICU during their first week of life, which was so critical. We wanted to take this opportunity to raise awareness about the hospital,” said Young.
A red carpet event will be held on Friday, July 31, at Pittsford Cinemas 9. The twins will arrive at 6 p.m. and the movie will begin at 6:30 p.m. with a Q&A session for audiences directly following. Donations will be accepted during Friday’s showing as well as two matinee showings at 12:15 and 2:20 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 1, will benefit Golisano Children’s Hospital. The twins will have an autograph session between the shows from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, between the matinee showings.
