Levy Named Vice Chair of Medicine

Paul C. Levy, M.D., has been named vice chair of the Department of Medicine at the University of Rochester Medical Center.
As associate chair of Medicine, Levy has been instrumental in managing challenges facing clinical programs in Medicine. He has become the key person responsible for education and oversight of compliance issues for the department.
“As we move forward in this dynamic clinical arena, we anticipate Dr. Levy's expanded role as vice chair of Medicine will continue to be critical to our success,” says Bradford C. Berk, M.D., Ph.D., chair of the Department of Medicine and director of the Center for Cardiovascular Research.
His responsibilities include directing the department’s quality assurance program and developing tools to better assess the performance of clinical programs. In addition to assuming the role of vice chair in the Department of Medicine, he will continue in his position as medical director of the Medical Center Compliance Office.
Levy is an associate professor of Medicine, and director of Pulmonary Clinical Services.
