Wilmot Breast Cancer Experts Offer Q&A Session Dec. 2

A team of breast cancer experts from the James P. Wilmot Cancer Center at the University of Rochester Medical Center will hold a question-and-answer session on the disease and its treatments at 5:30 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 2.

The event, sponsored by the Wilmot Comprehensive Breast Cancer Program, will be at the University of Rochester Medical Center Conference Center, located at the corner of Elmwood Avenue and Kendrick Road.

The panel will include surgeon Gretchen M. Ahrendt, M.D., surgical-director of the breast cancer program; Sharon Hyland, R.N., N.P., oncology nurse practitioner; Marilyn Ling, M.D., radiation oncologist; Patrice Rogers, C.S..W., oncology social worker; Linda Schiffhauer, M.D., pathologist; and Michelle Shayne, M.D., breast oncologist. 

Jennifer Griggs, M.D., M.P.H., medical director of the breast cancer program, will moderate the discussion.

The cost is $20 per person, which includes dinner.  Scholarships are available.
