No Football to Watch on Sundae, Jan. 30? Consider the Scooper Bowl
Maggie Moo’s Hosts Ice Cream-Eating Contest for Wilmot Cancer Center
January 12, 2005
Super Bowl parties are usually a time to eat delicious treats and have fun watching the football game and cool commercials. Why not try stuffing yourself a week early – with gourmet ice cream?
Maggie Moo’s Ice Cream and Treatery is serving up the Scooper Bowl – an ice cream eating contest – at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 30, at EastView Mall. All funds benefit the James P. Wilmot Cancer Center at the University of Rochester Medical Center.
Participants will be asked to collect pledges – or “moo”lah in Maggie Moo’s terms – and bring them to the contest. The top six fund-raisers will participate in the delicious competition.
The winner will receive a Super Bowl XXXVIII party package for 10, including pizza, wings, football-shaped ice cream cake, and all the trimmings.
