New Nurse Manager Appointed to Evarts Joint Center At Highland Hospital

Paulette Loris, R.N., is the new nurse manager for the Evarts Joint Center at Highland Hospital. A resident of Henrietta, Loris brings more than 20 years of nursing experience to her new position. Most recently, Loris was a nurse in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit at Strong Memorial Hospital.

Loris manages the 20-bed inpatient unit on the sixth floor of Highland Hospital, which provides a wide range of services including knee and hip joint replacements and specialized procedures on the ankle, shoulder and elbow. In its first year of operation, the Evarts Joint Center is expected to provide comprehensive high quality care to more than 1,000 patients.

Prior to working at Strong Memorial Hospital, Loris was a nurse manager for the First Health of the Carolinas Health System in North Carolina. Her nursing experience also includes working at the National Institutes of Health and the Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in North Carolina. Loris also served in the United States Army.

Loris earned her associate in applied science degree from Broome Community College in Binghamton, New York and earned her bachelor’s of science degree in nursing from Barton College in Wilson, North Carolina.

During her 20-year career as a nurse, Loris has a long list of accomplishments, including doubling patient satisfaction scores during her tenure at First Health of the Carolinas.
