Art Show, Sale to Benefit Patient Fund
May 20, 2005
An art show and sale hosted by the Nan Miller Gallery next month will benefit the Rotenberg Patient Advocate Fund of Strong Memorial Hospital.
Champagne receptions will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. both June 9 and 10 at the gallery, 3450 Winton Place. A donation of $50 for guests is requested. The gallery will be open to the public 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 11 and noon to 5 p.m. June 12. Admission on those days is free.
Twenty percent of gallery sales during the four-day event will go to the Rotenberg Patient Advocate Fund. A silent auction also will be held during the champagne receptions and will include such items as jewelry, dinners, use of a Florida condominium, golf packages for local country clubs, and a glass-blowing workshop at the Harley School.
The patient fund is named for Clare and Jerald Rotenberg, who in 2001 gave the initial gift to start this program that provides funds to Strong Memorial patients and their families who have significant financial needs and can’t afford items that may contribute to their care. The Rotenbergs believe financial issues affect the physical and emotional well being of patients.
