Eugene Toy, M.D., OB/GYN oncologist, pianist
Two doctors from the James P. Wilmot Cancer Center and the Nazareth Collegiate musicians will perform a piano recital to help people with cancer. “Keys for a Cure” will be held at 5 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 20, in the Linehan Chapel in the Golisano Academic Building at Nazareth College.
Pianists George Abraham, M.D., and Eugene Toy, M.D., will perform a series of duets and solo pieces. Abraham is a former director of the Wilmot Cancer Center and Toy is an OB/GYN oncologist who studied at The Juilliard School.
“This recital program is very impressive – with special piano arrangements for eight hands. This is really a recital not to be missed,” says Abraham, an accomplished pianist.
Special guests include the Nazareth Collegiate Piano Quartet featuring Gary Fisher, D.M.A.; Beverly Smoker, D.M.A.; Don Kot, M.M; and Bonnie Choi, D.M.A. There will also be performances by piano duet Hilda Collins, M.M., and Meg Heaton, M.M., and guest vocalist Suzanne Murphy, M.M.. The performances will be followed by a cocktail reception in the Sorelle Caffe.
Tickets are $50 and the event will support cancer research and patient care at the Wilmot Cancer Center. For tickets, call (585) 242-8988.
