ACOG District II Meeting

In October of 2008 and 2009, at the ACOG District II meeting, our simulation team presented four one-hour long simulation workshops creating the clinical emergency of postpartum hemorrhage. Participants had the opportunity to debrief the simulated event and discuss effective teamwork and communication strategies.

 

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify clinical signs and symptoms of postpartum hemorrhage.
  • Review current strategies for treatment of postpartum hemorrhage.
  • Participate in group event debriefing.
  • Discuss and review communication teamwork behaviors of effective teams.

Laurelton Fire Department Simulation Training

 

Members of the Laurelton Fire Department of Irondequoit, NY participated in a four-hour simulation training at the Center for Obstetrics and Gynecology Simulation.
