Program Development Course
This didactic program is applicable to those interested in starting an Obstetrics and Neonatal simulation program, or for Obstetrics and Neonatal departments that currently have a simulator and are looking for more direction.
Course Objectives:
- Introduce and review key components of team training and program development.
- Identify what motivates simulation based training in your organization.
- Learn how to introduce simulation based training to leadership and staff.
- Assemble strategies to create a simulation based learning environment for training.
- Learn how to transfer simulation experiences to clinical practice.

Simulation Course: Training for the Unexpected
This program is applicable to care teams* and individuals who are looking to enhance patient care outcomes through simulation skill building and team training.
Course Objectives:
- Review current patient safety initiatives.
- Discuss the benefits of simulation based training.
- Introduce and reinforce team training concepts, tools and behaviors.
- Participate in 3-4 simulation events and group debriefings.
- Discuss tips on how to take your experience back to your institution to facilitate change and enhance patient safety.
*A care team is defined as: a minimum of 1 Physician and 3 Nurses (limit 6).
CME credit is available for Physicians and Nurses.
