Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine

The Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine University of Rochester provides care to women during pregnancy ranging from routine screening tests to the most advanced management of high-risk pregnancies. Our team of physicians and highly trained nurse practitioners, clinical nurses, genetic counselors and sonographers works together to provide each patient with individualized services to meet their specific needs.

We offer specialized expertise in prenatal care, preconception and pregnancy consultation, ultrasound imaging, fetal monitoring, genetic counseling, aneuploidy screening and prenatal diagnostic procedures for advanced fetal evaluation and treatment. Our team includes specialists in the management of maternal disease in pregnancy, fetal anomalies and other complications of pregnancy. As part of Strong Memorial Hospital, we are able to care for the full spectrum of maternal and fetal conditions.

Our division works closely with experts in neonatology, pediatric surgery (including urology, neurosurgery and cardiac surgery), pediatric cardiology, genetics and other areas to provide all necessary services to our patients. Close collaboration with The Golisano Children's Hospital at Strong allows both mother and baby to have access to a full range of diagnostic and treatment options.
