Diane M. Hartmann, M.D.
As the Associate Dean for Graduate Medical Education, Dr. Hartmann is responsible for all residency and fellowship programs at the University of Rochester School of Medicine. In 1998, she was named the Glasgow Teaching Scholar at the University of Rochester for excellence as an educator. She received the 1999 Council on Resident Education in Obstetrics and Gynecology National Faculty Award for Excellence in Resident Education and the 1999 Association of Professors of Obstetrics and Gynecology Excellence in Teaching Award. Dr. Hartmann practices general ambulatory gynecology. She has special clinical expertise in the areas of menopause and geriatric gynecology. She has lectured extensively in these areas and has authored several related publications. Her work in the care of the older woman was recognized by the American Geriatrics Society as she was awarded a grant by the Hartford Foundation to improve the quality of resident education in this area. Dr. Hartmann is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and
Gynecology and currently serves as an Oral Board Examiner. She is
a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, a member
of the North American Menopause Society and serves on the Board of
Directors of the Association of Professors of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
