Gunhilde Buchsbaum, M.D.

Photo of Dr. Buchsbaum Dr. Buchsbaum attended The Johann Wolfgang von Goethe Universitaet in Frankfurt, Germany, as an undergraduate and the St. Louis University Medical School as a medical student. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Beth Israel Hospital, Boston, MA and Urogynecology and Pelvic Floor Reconstructive Surgery fellowship at the University of Rochester. Dr. Buchsbaum was a High School teacher in Social Sciences and Mathematics in Germany, prior to coming to United States. She has been an Assistant Professor of the division of Gynecology Specialties at the University of Rochester since 1996. Dr. Buchsbaum was honored with the Resident Achievement Award as "SLS Outstanding Laparoendoscopic Resident Surgeon" by the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons in 1993 and was recognized the Resident Teaching Award by the Department of OB/GYN at the University of Rochester in 1999.

Dr. Buchsbaum is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology since 1997. She maintains an active clinical practice in all areas of urogynecology and pelvic floor disorders.
