The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology has a long tradition of excellence in its primary mission of offering a full spectrum of health care services to women of all ages integrated with a balanced program of research and education. The goals of the department are to embody the finest tradition of competent and compassionate care of women. Our goal in medical student education is to add to the personal and professional growth of each student in his or her preparation of medicine as a life-long career. We will approach this goal by providing educational opportunities for a balanced and complete curriculum through the excellent teaching skills of our faculty and residents. We will provide a supportive and nurturing environment in which to learn for all students. Our programs are designed to provide a variety of depths of experiences in gynecology, surgery, obstetrics and primary health care of women.
