Program participants interpret the tracing, answer the clinical case questions, and submit their answers online or to their on-site Peri-FACTS Coordinator for review. Answers to the clinical case studies are available two weeks after the questions are sent.
Each participating agency chooses their own on-site Peri-FACTS Coordinator. We recommend that you select a registered nurse who demonstrates leadership qualities and who has an established positive rapport with the obstetric nursing staff. The individual selected to be the Peri-FACTS Coordinator at each site is extremely important to the success of the program, for this person will act as a resource for the staff and be the liaison between your organization and Peri-FACTS. Along with facilitating and encouraging staff participation, this person will be responsible for making the weekly transmissions available, grading the clinical case studies, and reporting the scores to our office.
