Cerebral Assessment Systems LLC (CAS) is a medical evaluation service specializing in clinical trials of new therapies for Alzheimer’s Disease.  CAS seeks to commercially leverage its proprietary approach to evaluating patients with progressive neurological disorders.  CAS was founded in 2002 around technology invented by Charles Duffy, M.D., Ph.D., Professor in URMC’s Department of Neurology.
 
CAS’s patented methodology results in objective analysis of disease progression. Clinical trials utilizing the CAS approach will yield more reliable results, based on data acquired at less expense and in a more favorable cost structure for the sponsors.  
 
The company’s development team is in place and a management team is being assembled. CAS will commence initial company activities in Rochester, NY.
