Pediatric Clinical Research Office
The mission of the PCRO is to facilitate clinical research of the highest quality ensuring the safety of children. To fulfill this mission, PCRO interacts regularly with investigators, research coordinators, and other departmental staff providing guidance in the preparation and execution of clinical research.
Goals
- Ensure the highest level of safety for our children
- Develop regulatory expertise and provide education and study oversight to ensure the protection of investigators
- Provide children access to cutting-edge technology, services, protocols and pharmaceuticals
- Increase the number of funded studies through mentorship of clinical investigators
- Develop a pool of well-trained clinical research staff enabling the department to secure and successfully complete clinical trials
