The Strong Center for Developmental Disabilities offers two fellowship programs:
- ACGME Developmental – Behavioral Pediatric Fellowship
(Physicians)
- Leadership Education in Neurodevelopment and related Disabilities Fellowship (LEND) (All Disciplines)
As you search for a program consider:
- The University of Rochester is the only institution awarded six full years of accreditation by the ACGME.
- We focus on quality and not quantity. Our small program size allows for individualized attention from faculty who provide strong mentorship and are national, state, and local leaders.
- Due to the nature of our programs, fellows have an enormous opportunity to network within community organizations and with faculty from nine universities and across twelve disciplines.
- We are internationally recognized for research initiatives in Autism, Down Syndrome, Prader-Willi Syndrome and other illnesses that affect children with developmental disabilities.
- Clinical experience is broaden by the opportunity to work within the community, providing consultative care for children with developmental–behavioral concerns. You’ll become adept to working as a member of interdisciplinary teams with professionals from twelve other clinical disciplines. It is an incomparable experience that allows you to better understand the dynamics that occur within multiple disciplines and how they affect the care of children with behavioral disabilities.
