Neurodevelopmental and Behavioral Pediatrics Fellowship
Curriculum—ACGME
Education
Throughout our fellowship program in developmental-behavioral pediatrics, fellows take part in a wide range of educational opportunities:
- First year ACGME Developmental-Behavioral Pediatric Fellows participate in the LEND Core Curriculum.
- Educational experiences include informal and formal learning opportunities in a variety of clinical and classroom settings.
- Weekly DBP seminars are scheduled throughout the fellowship; formal LEND and other class work is based in the Department of Community and Preventive Medicine and the Division of General Pediatrics.
- Short-term elective rotations through related specialties (e.g. Pediatric Neurology, Genetics, NICU Follow-up, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Adolescent Health) provide opportunities to learn about developmental-behavioral issues from the perspective of collaborating sub-specialists
- Training activities emphasize development of sensitivity to family systems and cultural factors as they affect care.
- Fellows may also take formal courses leading to a Master's in Public Health (MPH).
